The story behind our brand

4 surgeries, 8 years later and numerous doctors telling me it is my destiny, I found out I actually had a hormone imbalance that I could suppress and manage through supplementation and nutrition.

4 medically unnecessary surgeries later...

First surgery

“We just removed a lump from your breasts. If you don’t have a baby soon, I’ll probably see you again next year.”

I was 18.

That’s what my surgeon told me after my first breast lump surgery.

I had 4 overall.

They did see me again

Three surgeries in one

I had three more surgeries, in one go. After those surgeries I was told once again that this is my destiny.

Since when are surgeons fortune tellers?

I sat there, stunned — part confused, part offended, and part wondering if having a baby was now considered a medical procedure.

Later, I found out the truth: the lumps weren’t because I hadn’t had a child. They were the result of hormonal imbalances — something that had been quietly wreaking havoc in my body since I was 18.

Acne, bad gut, cysts

There was always something going on. First, ovarian cysts. They were ready to operate, but I said, “Hold on, scalpel,” and managed to heal them holistically.

Then came the acne — cue the antibiotics. All I really needed? To stop eating dairy and gluten, which I later found out I’m intolerant to and fix my leaky gut.

And the bloating? Oh, the bloating. I was given laxatives as if I were a malfunctioning machine. No one paused to consider that maybe my gut was just crying for help after years of stress and a lifestyle that didn’t nourish it. Turns out, all it needed was love… and a better diet.

Looking back, I don’t blame medicine. I actually love medicine — it saves lives every single day and what doctors do is nothing short of miraculous. But in my case, I didn’t need to be rescued. I needed someone to pause and say, “Let’s look at this from both sides — the medical and the holistic.”

That’s why I created Hormoni Health — to offer women the full picture. If we believe a holistic approach is your best path, we’ll build a plan around it. If your situation requires medical intervention, we’ll be the first to say, “Go see a specialist.”

Because you deserve solutions that don’t involve trading organs for answers. You deserve to be seen, fully.
